CUSP has gathered school principals, board members, Archdiocesan Schools Office staff, and now teachers, to meet regularly and chart a course for its nine schools. This resulting partnership has created an environment of support and excitement about the transformative program now being implemented.

Here’s what our partners
are saying:

“We were those poor urban kids who were given a chance and it was a very formative part of our lives. It’s a passion and an obligation to return the favor.”

CUSP Board Member

“When I went to college, I felt that I was ten steps behind everyone else so I had very little time to catch up, but the damage was done — just because I came from a neighborhood that wasn’t as prestigious as somebody else’s. I saw some of my own peers fail — flunk out of college. And I’m here because I believe strongly that every child deserves an equal opportunity regardless of where they came from.”

CUSP Board Member

“Everyone should be able to reach their best potential despite their circumstances.”

Schools’ Office Staff

“We are charged with a mission and it’s an exciting one. So I’m not worried about the bumps. They are going to come and we’ll get over them.”

CUSP School Principal

“Our CUSP students have the same potential as every other child and need to have the same opportunities.”

Schools’ Office Staff

“You can’t underestimate the faith component of a Catholic education and giving students the opportunity to build themselves up from that perspective. It’s just a faction that you can’t deny. It makes such a difference. There are great public schools out there, but they don’t enrich the soul the way Catholic schools do.”

CUSP Board Member

“I can see where the road is going.”

CUSP School Principal

“There are a lot of paths that have to be walked to bring this vision to fulfillment, but I think there’s a way to do it.”

Schools’ Office Staff

“I see a future and a lot of new and good things being supported.”

CUSP School Principal

“I feel like we’re a group. We’re all in the same boat and the boat’s going down the same river and we’ll help each other.”

CUSP School Principal

“We’re all on the same page. It’s unbelievable. I am so excited. Let’s just get it done.”

CUSP Board Member

“Last year I felt like an island, not anymore.”

CUSP School Principal

“I feel so grateful to be a part of this.”

CUSP School Principal

“I am extremely confident that CUSP will make a difference and be able to help us out!”

CUSP School Faculty Member

“The CUSP Partnership, rooted in Gospel values, will better prepare students for college and leadership for life.”
